The only launch mechanism for F3K is a strong arm!
Expert fliers also have good technique, sharpened thermal-hunting skills, strategy and bravado. A successful pilot can launch high,
fly efficiently, read the air and keep their eyes on other gliders.
The F3K class of DLG (discus launch glider) is a set of standards used world-wide. It defines the type of glider allowable and a range of tasks that can be flown; this currently stands at 8 different tasks.
